Open for just three
months, Albivi Restaurant in Millstone Township is
quickly becoming known for its casual atmosphere and
scrumptious home-style Italian fare. Owner Vinny
Castronov, who grew up working in family-owned
restaurants, completely renovated the building
before opening his doors for business last July.
Prior to this endeavor, Castronov was an owner of a
successful Italian restaurant in West Orange for 12
years.
Albiv is a great place to bring the whole family for
brick oven pizza and homemade pasta. The menu also
includes fresh seafood, lamb chops, steak and
chicken dishes. Be sure to leave room for dessert.
In addition to classic Italian choices such as
tiramisu and cannolis, the dessert menu also offers
the decadent and wildly popular “Albivi’s Own
Vesuvius Cake,” which is made of dark chocolate,
brownie cake and caramel cheesecake, filled with
chocolate mousse, covered in chocolate ganache,
surrounded by dark chocolate truffle bombs and
sprinkled with walnuts. Catering is available for
off premise parties and events.
With seating for
about 100 people, including outdoor dining on the
patio, the restaurant does not accept reservations,
but seats on a first come first serve basis, so get
there early to avoid the wait. Entrées range in
price from $6.95 to $22.95. Albivi does not have a
liquor license, so be sure to bring a good Italian
red to pair with your meal.
